Resolve Pain
Neuromuscular Calibrate & Train, helps resolve pain for short term injury, and long term chronic pain problems.
Short term injury
Protective nervous system patterns associated with an injury, become redundant as healing takes place. Calibrating these redundant patterns to restore function, speeds up recovery. If timing of muscle contraction and movement is not restored, it is like having a faulty GPS system. This can stall recovery, and leave the area with a lower tolerance to the demands placed upon it.
This means that you may be susceptible to injuring the area again, or create compensations at associated muscles and joints to make up for the deficit.
E.g. an ankle that has not recovered, (even if symptom free), creating heightened muscle tension in the hip and back.
Note!
Some injuries, are a result of over protection from the brain and nervous system; little tissue damage has occurred, and therefore can be resolved quicker than expected!

Long Term Problems
Neuromuscular Calibrate & Train, offers a fresh look at old problems.
Scenario 1
Short term injuries often become long term if the focus has solely been on rest and treatment for tissue recovery, and then resuming exercise and life activities*. This is often the right thing to do, but as with the ankle example given above; if the redundant protective patterns remain, you can become stuck in a loop of resting, treating tissue; starting activity, and then suffering again.
*Unfortunately some people may get stuck before restarting activity; simply because the protective patterns themselves, are perceived by the brain as a problem. This results in pain, but is not a tissue damage problem!
Calibration of redundant and dysfunctional patterns, provides the missing link. Working in conjunction with conventional methods; neuromuscular calibration, bridges the gap between rest and training; to kickstart recovery, and get you back to the lifestyle you’d like to lead.
Scenario 2
You are looking in the wrong place!! Aches and pains that appear out of nowhere, or seemingly don’t go away, are often due to compensatory patterns, for a non symptomatic problem elsewhere.
We return to the above example of an ankle injury, that recovers enough to be pain free. This is great! But, recruitment patterns have changed; not just at the ankle, but also the hip and back. Years later, either the hip or back is triggered, and doesn’t resolve until the ankle is looked at too.
Of course as our years accumulate, so do the amount of compensatory patterns from even minor injuries, poor posture and lifestyle habits. This can potentially create a system overload, where there is too much going on to recover from relatively minor insults to the body. If you are just looking at the symptom, you may become stuck.
This is why in a Calibrate & Train session, we look around the whole body. It is very common, for clients to experience improvements in multiple areas, not just the symptomatic site. This contributes to a step up, in an overall sense of wellbeing.
The results have been nothing short of amazing for me since your treatment.
